Meghan oil 8x10
This is an oil sketch I made a few years ago in a life drawing class. I liked the freshness of it. Painting in oils just brings home to me how much I dislike them. I find them hard to mix, they stink, they take forever to dry and I get the paint everywhere.
Once I started using acrylics, there was no looking back. They wash out (if you are quick) cleaning is a breeze, there is no noticeable smell and they dry in minutes. My kind of paint.
Dean Smale used to teach wonderful figure painting classes at Red Deer College. I miss him.
